Mission
The Mission of the Albany High
School Library program is to provide students and teachers with
the
resources and instructions needed in becoming effective users of
information.

Hours
The library is open from 7:00 A.M. until 2:45
P.M.on regular school days. Students may come
before and after school, at
lunch recess, and with a teacher’s permission at any time during the
school
day.
Resources
The Albany High School library has collections of
over 9,000 books, 30 networked computer
workstations with internet access,
31 magazines, Gale researcher, World Book online,
Bridges.com (online career
program), automated card catalog and ACT review programs.
Circulation Rules
1. Library books may be checked out for two weeks
and may be
renewed for an additional two weeks.
2. Reference books may be checked out for overnight.
3. Students must have a school ID card to check out books.
4. Overdue books will be assessed a fine of five cents per day.
5. Students are responsible for the cost of lost or damaged books.
Accelerated Reader
Students need to check with their English teacher for AR points needed for
class. Books
may be checked out from the library, points are listed inside the front
covers of AR books.
Tests must be taken in English classes or in the library with a teacher
present.
